Driver taken to hospital after crash

A driver had to be taken to hospital following a crash on the Old Castletown Road.

Two cars were involved in the collision on Saturday evening, resulting in one of the drivers being trapped in their vehicle.

Fire crews had to cut the motorist from their car before helping them into a waiting ambulance.

Officers found both vehicles had sustained extensive damage, and the scene spanned more than 100m.
