The Department of Education and Children has revealed a member of a Christian organisation regularly attends many of the Island's primary schools.
The Child Evangelism Fellowship has visited 26 of the Department's 32 primary schools, according to figures released in a Freedom of Information Act request.
A number of schools receive visits once every half term, while one has welcomed the representative 28 times this academic year.
The Department says the visits consist of a member of the Child Evangelism Fellowship telling a bible story and giving a prayer in an assembly.
However, it insists pupils are given the choice whether they wish to say amen or not, while teachers can intervene if they believe pupils are being evangelised.
