The Queen's Baton will visit the Isle of Man in September ahead of next year's Commonwealth Games in Australia.

The Commonwealth Games Association has announced that the baton's tour will include the Island on September 2nd and 3rd.

Isle of Man CGA President Basil Bielich and Chief Minister Howard Quayle will welcome the baton, before it heads to the NSC.

There will also be a chance for the public to see the relay at Laxey Wheel, Douglas Promenade, Tynwald Hill and Snaefell, as well as a number of other locations.

The baton tours the nations of the Commonwealth ahead of each Games, finishing in the host nation.

Full details of the Manx route can be found on the Isle of Man Commonwealth Games Association's website.
