An MHK will ask Tynwald to consider ending the Bishop's vote in the Island's parliament.
The Bishop of Sodor and Mann currently has a vote on all decisions made in Tynwald.
Lord Lisvane's report into the function of Tynwald recommended keeping the Bishop's vote.
However, Ramsey member Lawrie Hooper will move that Tynwald is of the opinion the Bishop shouldn't retain his vote, and ask for the opinion to be referred to a select committee.
A five member select committee was appointed last month by Tynwald to consider Lord Lisvane's recommendations.
