A group campaigning for stricter abortion laws on the Isle of Man have been refused permission to give a presentation to school children.
A Freedom of Information request revealed Humanity and Equality in Abortion Reform, or HEAR, met with the headteacher at St Mary's School earlier this year.
Several members of staff watched a presentation from the campaigners, but decided not to invite them to speak to pupils.
The Department of Education and Children also confirmed no representatives from the group have spoken at primary or secondary school on the Island within the last six months.
HEAR believes the Island's current laws compromise the unborn's basic right to life and that more pre- and post-natal care should be offered to pregnant women to help them care for their baby.
