Cancer patients on the Isle of Man will be able to access the same treatments as those in England.
The Department of Health and Social Care has announced a new interim funding policy to allow Manx patients to opt for new treatments on the same basis as those being treated by the English NHS.
The DHSC will fund treatments once they're approved by the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence and are introduced at Cheshire and Merseyside hospitals, where patients from the Island receive treatment.
It's hoped the new fund will allow people to start treatment sooner without having to worry about funding.
The Department will review the interim policy in June next year.
