The Island's fire service is urging members of the public to take care with fires and cigarettes in plantations.
Fire officers found the remnants of a bonfire at Slieu Whallian plantation earlier this week.
The fire service says this fire looks well set and controlled, but warns fires can quickly spread in forests and plantations with dry wood and wind adding to the problem.
As well as taking care with naked flames, locals are also being urged to contact the emergency services if they come across an unattended fire.
