A care home in the north of the Island will close later this year.
The Department of Health and Social Care has announced that King's Reach Care Home is to shut on October 1st.
The private company that runs the facility warned that Department earlier this year that the closure was possible, and informed residents and staff of the decision last night.
Staff from Adult Social Care are working to find suitable new homes for the residents.
The DHSC has worked to rehome residents affected by the closure of care homes before, and insists there is time to ensure alternative placements are found.
