The Department of Education and Children spent over £3,600 to send the Minister and Chief Executive Officer to the Island Games.
Graham Cregeen and Roland Barr travelled with the Manx squad to Gotland for the recent games, spending eight nights on the Swedish island.
The Department revealed in a Freedom of Information Act request that it cost £1,430 for two return seats on the chartered flight with the team, and £2,147 for eight nights in a B&B for the pair.
A further £60 was spent on accreditation with the Island Games Association.
The Isle of Man finished at the top of the medal table at the Games, which finished last Friday.
