Noble's pays out almost £1m in medical negligence claims

Noble's Hospital has paid out almost £1m in settlements and damages since 2012.
Almost £1m in settlements and damages has been paid out by Noble's Hospital over the last five years.
A Freedom of Information Act request shows just under £970,000 has been paid out in claims of medical negligence since 2012.
The legal cost of defending such claims has cost over £1.4m over the same period, including almost £450,000 during the 2014-15 period, when under £70,000 of damages were settled.
The majority of the settlements were made in 2012-13, when £669,437 was paid out, while no claims were settled during the 2016-17 period.
