The Manx public is being urged to ensure they have healthcare insurance before travelling off Island.
The Department of Health and Social Care says it regularly receives enquiries from residents looking to obtain a European Health Insurance Card, which isn't available to Manx residents.
Only those who live within the European Economic Area can obtain the card, which gives them access to state healthcare while travelling in Europe.
The DHSC warns the Island only has reciprocal agreements with the UK and a small number of non-EU countries, meaning most treatment will have to be paid for.
The Island's agreement with the UK only covers emergency treatment, and doesn't include extended treatment or repatriation.
