Assault leaves man with serious head injury

A Peel man is in hospital with serious injuries following an assault outside the House of Manannan.

The 25-year-old suffered a serious head injury in the incident, which happened at around 10.35pm opposite the Creek Inn on Saturday.

The man is still receiving treatment at Noble's, with his injuries described as serious but not life threatening.

Two Peel men have been arrested and charged with committing grievous bodily harm with intent - they'll appear in court later today.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward, believing the area would have been busy at the time.
