Members of the Armed Forces from the Island will be able to use gym and swimming facilities for free while at home on leave.
The Government has announced it's making use of the Fitness Zone and swimming pool at the NSC free for serving personnel.
The move comes following a suggestion on Twitter from a Manxwoman currently serving in the Royal Air Force.
Corporal Laura Quilliam got in touch with the Department of Education and Children, which runs the facility, to say use of government-funded facilities would help those in the Armed Forces to maintain their fitness levels.
Personnel will need to show their military ID at reception to gain free admission, while Army reservists will be offered 30% off on annual memberships.
