Manx team heads to Island Games

240 athletes from the Isle of Man are heading to Gotland ahead of the start of the 2017 Island Games.

Over 3,000 competitors from 23 islands around the world will compete in the games.

The Manx team finished second in the medal table behind hosts Jersey in 2015 with a haul of 90 medals, including 34 golds.

Cycling, swimming, athletics and gymnastics are among the sports that will be contested on the Swedish island.
