Fire crews were called to one of the Island's primary schools following reports of smoke in a classroom.
Teams from Douglas were dispatched yesterday lunchtime after a fire broke out in an oven.
The blaze was contained to the oven and extinguished by the time crews arrived on the scene.
Two firefighters used breathing apparatus to remove to content of the oven before ventilating the classroom.
All staff and pupils were evacuated while crews spent around 45 minutes ensuring the scene was safe.
