More than 150 Manx patients have been waiting longer than recommended for a follow-up endoscopy appointment.
The Department of Health and Social Care has written to 157 patients who have been waiting longer than optimal period for a follow-up gastrointestinal endoscopy.
Health Minister Kate Beecroft has issued an apology to those affected, describing the oversight as concerning and disappointing.
Those who are now overdue will be offered prioritised appointments before the end of August.
The DHSC insists it will ensure future follow-up endoscopies are done on time.
Waiting time for a routine endoscopy procedure on the Isle of Man is currently around 33 weeks.
