Health Minister reveals more services could be moved

The Health Minister says more services split between the Island's two hospitals could be moved to one site in the future.

The Department of Health and Social Care recently moved all endoscopy appointments to Noble's Hospital, transferring staff and equipment from Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital.

However, Kate Beecroft revealed some services at Ramsey could be increased in the future as the Department decides whether to bring together services currently split between different sites.

Mrs Beecroft also insisted the DHSC must use assets effectively due to its difficult financial circumstances, having operated over-budget last year.

The Minister reiterated that there are no plans to close the theatre suite in Ramsey.
