Person rescued from plantation lake

Douglas Coastguard was called out to help a person in a lake in one of the Island's plantations.

The person got into difficulty while at Archallagan Plantation yesterday afternoon.

Other rescue services were able to get the person out of the water while the Coastguard travelled to the scene, allowing paramedics to check them over.

The Coastguard returned to the station within 45 minutes of the initial callout.
