The Infrastructure Minister will ask to make changes to the price of road tax when Tynwald sits this month.
Ray Harmer was due to introduce new Vehicle Licence fees earlier this year, but withdrew the motion to rethink the price changes.
Most classes of non-commercial cars will see the cost of road tax increase if the changes are approved, although many of the rises aren't as big as previously planned.
Mr Harmer wants to make electric cars exempt from vehicle duty until 2020, after which it will cost £14.
If Tynwald approved the proposals, the new pricing structure will come in from August.
