The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading is warning the Manx public of a potential safety problem affecting a number of tumble dryers.
Several Beko and Blomberg tumble dryers are at rusk of a component overheating and failing, leaving to a risk of fire.
A voluntary repair programme has been brought in for over 3000 8kg and 9kg dryers manufactured between May and November 2012
Details of the models affected can be found on Beko's website.
Those who have a dryer at risk can register through the manufacturer's website for an engineer's visit.
