Longer working hours to speed up Foxdale road scheme

Work will be carried out in the evenings and at weekends to reduce the amount of time it'll take to finish the roadworks in Foxdale.

The highway improvement scheme had initially been due to finish before TT, but delays meant the work won't be finished until August.

The works were paused for TT to allow the road to re-open, but it will close against from 10am on Monday.

The Department of Infrastructure says additional resources and extended hours will allow the project to be completed on August 2nd.

The work still to be completed includes installing pipes and cables for water, gas, electric and telecoms, as well as reconstructing around 700m of carriageway.
