Fire crews called out to shop in Port Erin

Fire crews were called out in the south of the Island after a fire at a shop.

Staff from the shop reported the smell of burning and smoke, resulting in crews being dispatched on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers found an electrical fault in a light fitting was the cause.

The team ensured the electrical supply had been switched off and check for hot spots before electricians were able to fix the problem.
