Davey Lambert dies following Superbike crash

The family of a rider injured in the TT Superbike race on Sunday have announced he's died from his injuries.

Davey Lambert was involved in an incident at Greeba Castle on the third lap of the race, and was treated at the scene before being airlifted to Noble's Hospital, and later transferred to Aintree University Hospital.

In a post on the rider's Facebook page, his family revealed he passed away yesterday evening surrounded by family and close friends.

He's been described as a big man with an even bigger heart who went out of this world doing what he loved.

Lambert's relatives also passed on their thanks to the medical staff at the scene as well as both hospitals that treated him.
