Instrument panel stolen from motorbike

Police are investigating after an instrument panel was removed from a motorbike parked on Douglas promenade.

The central electronic instrument panel was stolen from the BMW while it was parked outside the Central Apartments building between 6pm on Monday and 9.30 yesterday morning.

The theft has left the bike in an unrideable condition, which will cost the owner a substantial amount to fix.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who has been offered such an item for sale, or who knows where the panel currently is.
