Douglas lifeboat has been helping two broken down boats.
The crew received its first request for help at around 9.20 yesterday morning when a small vessel reported an engine failure.
The boat had been heading to Barrow when it got into trouble, but it managed to restart the engine before the lifeboat arrived at the scene, allowing the team to return to the station.
The lifeboat was launched against shortly before 5pm when a RIB was left stricken due to a flat battery.
The vessel left Douglas earlier in the day but got stuck at Laxey Bay.
The lifeboat was able to tow the RIB back to Douglas, where it could be put back on the trailer it launched from and removed for repair.
