Cash stolen from van in Douglas

Police are investigating after money and other items were taken from a van parked in Douglas.

The silver Ford Transit was parked on Kingswood Grove overnight on Sunday into Monday when the cash and personal items were stolen from the vehicle.

Officers expect that this is an isolated incident, but are urging other vehicle owners in the area to check for similar thefts and ensure vehicles are kept secure.

Anyone who saw something which could help police catch the person responsible is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
