One arrest, one hospitalised following Mountain Road crash

A person has been arrested and another is in hospital following a crash on the Mountain Road earlier.

The road is now open again after police concluded their investigations, but is due to shut from 4.45pm for this evening's TT practice session.

The rider taken to hospital is described as having serious injuries.

Officers warn conditions on the mountain are currently changeable with rain and mist in the area, and are urging motorists not to drive or ride like it's a race track.
