A local charity is working with Liverpool Airport to find a solution for patients.
The Manx Breast Cancer Support Group initially agreed for patients from the Island to be given a quiet waiting room at the airport, but the facility later changed its mind.
The group had agreed to fund furnishing and decorations for the room, which would give those returning from medical appointments in the UK somewhere quiet to wait for their flight home.
Supporters of the group questioned the decision, and the airport is now working with the charity to find a way for the project to go ahead.
The group says it is hoping for a positive outcome.
