Technical problems for Ben-my-Chree

The Steam Packet Company says it's working to fix a technical problem with one of the Ben-my-Chree's two main engines.

The vessel encountered a problem this morning which engineers fixed, but had another issue after it left Douglas for Heysham, forcing it to return to Douglas.

The operator says all available resources are working, and a further update will be issued when it's known how long the repair will take.

The Steam Packet is also trying to make alternative arrangements for passengers due to travel on the Ben today.
