Manx care homes to trial telemedicine

Care homes on the Isle fof Man will be able to seek advice via video as the Department of Health and Social Care trials telemedicine.

The 12-month pilot scheme will give the care homes on the Island access to health professionals on a secure video link.

The facility will be available 24 hours a day, with all calls being answered withing five minutes.

The project has been supported by the Henry Bloom Noble Healthcare Trust.
