Inspector Derek Flint is retiring from the Isle of Man Constabulary

Well-known Isle of Man police officer Derek Flint is retiring.

Inspector Flint's work has included improving road safety on the Island, heading up the Roads Policing Unit during a number of TT campaigns.

He has also worked as the Constabulary's PR and media liaison officer over the last 10 years.

Inspector Flint's retirement at the end of this week is on medical grounds ahead of a double hip replacement.
