Peel meeting arranged to discuss parking laws

Peel Town Commissioners will hold a requisition meeting to discuss the parking of larger vehicles in the area.

The local authority has been asked to hold the meeting about legislation preventing the parking vehicles over 2.5 tonnes in weight in speed limited areas overnight and at weekends.

The Commissioners confirmed Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer, who is also an MHK for the area, will be attending to answer questions on the topic.

Changes to parking motorhomes on the Island's roads have recently been discussed in the House of Keys.

The meeting has been scheduled for 7pm on Thursday at Corrin Hall.
