Archer Lesley Sleight has been selected to represent Great Britain at the World 3D Championships in France in September.
Lesley from Ronague was picked for the British team after competing at a UK selection shoot to find the top archers in the UK.
The selection shoot took place in Rhondda, Wales and qualification scores were benchmarked on the 16th position from the previous European Championships scores to ensure that UK participants would be representative of globally achieved scores.
Shooting in the Instinctive Class Lesley's score of 625 was well above the qualification score of 550.
Archery GB announced today that a team of 18 will be heading out to Robion, France between 19th and 24th September.

Highlights over the past few months have included taking individual Silver and a Bronze team medal for England at the IFAA World Field Championships and more recently a Bronze Medal for England at the IFAA. World Indoor Championships.
It was also a great surprise and honour to be nominated for the Isle of Man Sportswoman and Veteran Sportsperson of the Year. Hopefully I can improve further and gain more International experience before back to teaching in September. I would like to thank the Department of Education and Ms. Moore, Queen Elizabeth II High School for giving me this opportunity to compete for Great Britain'
