A Manx charity that worked to secure an airport waiting room for patients with appointments in the UK has been told the facility is no longer being offered.
Manx Breast Cancer Support Group arranged for those flying back from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to have a quiet room with seating to wait for their flights back to the Island after attending medical appointments.
The charity agreed to fund the alterations to the room as well as furnishings and had a logo designed for the facility, but the airport has now said there is enough seating available elsewhere.
It was hoped the room make travelling with uncomfortable or embarrassing conditions less stressful for Manx patients.
