A major roadwork scheme due to get underway in the north of the Island next month has been put back by a year.
The Department of Infrastructure was due to begin work the reconstruct Lezayre Road in Ramsey from June 26th.
However, the Government says the scheme will now be reviewed, with the intention of starting the works after TT next year.
The DoI will give further consideration to the impact on residents, businesses and schools, with further consultation to take place.
The Department insists it is essential the work takes place in the near future to improve the ride quality of the road, as well as drainage and utilities.
