Those who've bought lights from B & Q over the last three years are being urged to check the model number after several designs were found to be defective.
The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading is warning a range of ceiling mounted lights, as well as free-standing and table-top models are being recalled as a result.
The lamp shade ring on the affected models can fracture, resulting in the shade falling from the fitting.
The full list of the models affected can be found on the B & Q website, along with details of what to do if you have one of the models being recalled.
The OFT can also be contacted on 686500 for those without access to a computer.
