Fire crews were called out after a railway embankment caught fire.
Staff from Isle of Man Railways helped the firefighter find the blaze near the start line at the Billown circuit, before using beaters and an aquapack to put the flames out.
Crews were kept informed that no trains were in the area throughout the incident.
Crews were also called to a house fire in the south of the Island after a tea towel was left too close to a hob.
The team spent around an hour on the scene in Pony Fields in Port Erin, quickly putting the fire out before ventilating the house.
The occupant had spotted the fire and managed to evacuate the property before fire officers arrived.
