Plans to extend one of the primary schools in Douglas will go on display next week.
The Department of Education and Children wants to increase classroom space and improve dining, sports and performance facilities at St Mary's RC Primary School.
The plans include a two-storey extension comprising of four classrooms and a new shared activity area.
The work would cost around £3.8m and begin next Easter if planning approval is granted and Tynwald give the plans the go-ahead next year.
The current facilities can only cope with 275 pupils despite more than 300 being on the register, meaning mobile classrooms are needed.
Parents, pupils and other members of the public will be able to view and make comments on the proposals next Wednesday between 3pm and 7pm, when they will be displayed at the school.
