MHK shocked by Ramsey hospital surgery decision

A Ramsey MHK says he's "sad and shocked" to see operations at Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital moved to Noble's.

Alex Allinson posted on social media about the Department of Health and Social Care's decision to move all endoscopies to Noble's Hospital, effectively closing the operating theatre in Ramsey.

Dr Allinson revealed the Department told him the move is due to operations reasons and that the future of the hospital in Ramsey is safe.

Ramsey Town Commissioners are currently considering a request for a public requisition meeting on the DHSC's plans for the hospital.
