Ramsey residents are calling for the town's local authority to hold a meeting to discuss the future of Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital.
Ramsey Town Commissioners has revealed its received a request for a public requisition meeting signed by 14 registered voters, as well as a number of residents from surrounding parishes.
The request describes a "secretive culture" within the Department of Health and Social Care, and wants to discuss the Departments intentions for the hospital.
The residents insist clarity is required from Health Minister Kate Beecroft, calling for her and Chief Minister Howard Quayle to attend the meeting.
Chairman of the Commissioner Andy Cowie has acknowledged the request and confirmed it is being considered, with an update to be released in due course.
