A multi-million pound scheme to prevent flooding in Castletown is getting underway today.
£2.3m is being spent protecting the town against future flooding by improving walls around the harbour and strengthening the concrete boundary.
The Department of Infrastructure has been carrying out preparation works in the area for the last couple of weeks, with the entire project expected to take around 45 weeks.
The area was badly affected by floods in 2014, resulting in damage to homes and businesses in the town.
