Manx roads police are reminding locals and visitors that a driving ban in the Isle of Man also applies in the UK.
Penalty points picked up in the Island can't be applied to a UK licence, but anyone who accumulates 12 points on a ghost Manx licence will still be banned.
The Roads Policing Unit warns this means anyone who has previously received points in the Isle of Man on a UK licence could still face disqualification if they break the rules again.
Officers are also reminding motorcyclists that those with provisional bike licences can't ride on the Island, even if they display L plates.
Provisional licences are only valid in the jurisdiction they were issued in.
The RPU issued the clarification after both issues came up this week.
