Plans submitted for Port Soderick redevelopment

A planning application to redevelop the Port Soderick promenade and sea front area is under consideration.

Ballacregga Estates wants to demolish the former Anchor Hotel and Waders cafe, building a boat house, residential and tourist accommodation and public facilities.

The buildings currently on the site were boarded up a number of years ago and have fallen into poor condition.

The application insists the public wants to see the area restored while retaining its character.
