Third nominee for LegCo vacancy

A third nominee has been put forward for the vacancy on the Legislative Council.

Former police officer Alan Wright works for the Government's Land Registry.

Mr Wright was nominated by Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Geoffrey Boot and seconded by Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer, with support from Education Minister Graham Cregeen and Ayre & Michael MHK Tim Baker.

Paul Beckett and Jane Poole-Wilson, who have both worked in the legal sector, have also been put forward for the seat.

MHKs can put names forward until Wednesday next week.
