Douglas Council seeks nominations for vacant seat

Douglas Borough Council is seeking nominations to fill a vacant seat.

The local authority has had a casual vacancy in the St George's ward since Councillor Kat Turner was jailed following a drink driving conviction.

Nomination papers must be submitted at the Town Hall by May 4th.

If more than one candidate comes forward, the ward will go to the polls on Thursday June 1st.
