Changes to the Island's Blood Donor Service will see some donors called to give blood less often in the future.
The Island often has enough A-positive and B-positive stocks, while modern surgical techniques mean blood transfusions are increasingly less common.
As a result, the service will call donors to donation sessions as their blood types are needed, as the donations can also be kept for 35 days.
However, the Department of Health and Social Care insists donors will only be called if their blood type is needed, so should also try to attend their session.
