Police are urging drivers to stick to the speed limit through Laxey after catching a number of motorists going too fast.
Officers have been carrying out checks in the village while the Mountain Road is closed for repairs.
Some of those stopped received warnings, while others were issued with points and a fine, and some were referred to a Juvenile Traffic Scheme.
The Roads Policing Unit insist they don't enjoy enforcing such laws, but state drivers must stay within the limit.
