Witnesses are being sought after a fence was damaged in the south of the Island.
The boundary fence at a field on Tosaby Road in St Marks was cut between 1pm and 5.30pm on Saturday.
Police have described the act as mindless criminal damage, which could have put road users at risk had livestock kept in the field got onto the road.
However, the farmer discovered the damage before any animals could escape.
Those who can help officers with this investigation are asked to contact Castletown Police Station on 822222.
