Police issue coast road speed reminder

Motorists are being reminded to respect the speed limit on the Douglas to Ramsey Coast Road.

The Mountain Road is currently closed for maintenance and pre-TT preparations, resulting in a higher than usual amount of traffic using the alternative route.

Members of the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team have been conducting speed checks to ensure drivers are sticking to the limit.

Motorists are also being urged to pay attention to cones in no parking zones and expect to come across more traffic than usual.

The Mountain Road is due to re-open by April 23rd.
