Ferry passengers travelling to the Island have been facing lengthy delays after a technical issue hit the Ben-my-Chree.
The vessel suffered a cylinder head sheared stud yesterday morning, which had to be replaced before the Ben could return to Douglas.
The Steam Packet Company delayed the 2.15pm sailing until 11pm before cancelling it, leaving passengers delayed in Heysham for 12 hours.
The Manannan was used to cover the Ben's evening and overnight sailings while engineers completed the repair, with those affected by the cancelled crossing transferred onto the overnight trip.
